Stop losing players

Read time approx: 4 minutes

You're not losing players because your app is bad - You're losing them because they have no reason to stay!

In the arena of retention and reactivation, we are often faced with the question of Churn. How to stop players from dropping off, why do they drop off, and what can we do to make sure we keep them from dropping off.

Simply put, Churn is one of the pain points of all modern digital companies. We can work out quite easily technical issues like usability and broken pages and links, there are tools for that! But when it comes to behaviour and what makes people leave, well, we have to apply a little mix of strategies.

Something we do know for sure, if there is nothing for them to come back for, they will not come back. This applies to many real world situations, from shops to leisure. People need something to do, somewhere to go, a level of distraction or entertainment. As the phrase goes "If you build it - they will come"

But this is not actually accurate. I mean, if today I build a website, it does not become a hit overnight. If I find a busy area in town near all the café shops and open one myself, I do not guarantee it will be a massive hit.

But for you, every single person who comes through that digital doorway and into your app or site, well, we need to keep them coming back as often as feels good for them. So how to do this?

A few ideas come to mind, from the very popular schemes such as loyalty points right through to membership and rewards. They all do one thing, they keep their users in the mindset that your product or brand is available. A reminder, a little nudge to keep them thinking of your brand or app.

What if we made this fun? What if we made this a challenge? What if there are rewards that engage the user with a game?

This is where we come in. We offer complete white label, fully customisable games with easy integration and stand-alone options. Offer your players a daily free spin on the lucky wheel. A sales promotion with a scratch card or randomise the blog posts you have if the users dwell too long on the page.

If you give them a low barrier to entry, a good fun game and a reward, whey would they turn to your competitor to check for a better offer?
